Increasing your power supply: when you need it and how it works

Signs that you need more power

  • The main switch trips when the oven, air conditioners and water heater run together.
  • You are adding a heat pump, induction hob, EV charger or pool.
  • You are renovating and replacing gas or oil heating with electric.

How it works, step by step

  1. We calculate your loads and recommend the right supply, no bigger than you need.
  2. We check or upgrade the fuse box and the cable from the meter.
  3. We issue a new installer declaration (YDE).
  4. You submit the application to HEDNO and pay the connection fee. We help you with the paperwork.
  5. HEDNO upgrades the meter or the supply.
Moving from single-phase to three-phase also needs a three-phase fuse box and new cabling to it. The HEDNO fee depends on the power you request. We tell you the full cost before we start.
